With an interior to rival any kitsch Soho den, Fish in a Tie is a delightful little outpost in the depths of south London, a fantastic find away from the hustle and bustle of high street life. Service is second to none, extras such as bread and wine are complementary and prices generally don’t break the £10 mark.

Disappointed with the service. Nice, warm, attractive restaurant but poor starter (spicy calamari salad which was not spicy and DROWNED in dressing) Don't normally complain but was asked if "everything was alright" and told waiter who then failed to deal with complaint. (steak was also slightly over-cooked but didn't mention it)When bill came there was no mention made and my main course also turned out to be ever so slightly more than priced on specials board-so they corrected price on board but not on bill.Left feeling that they dont care as long as they are busy.
Lovely bistro, with gorgeous dishes, very fresh and perfectly seasoned. Though not a risotto lover - I always have the seafood risotto and my sister not being a calamari lover always has it due to the freshness and cooked to perfection. The only criticism would be the noise levels downstairs. Fish in a tie is definitely a firm and consistent favorite of mine that I recommend to lovers of good food.
